Text symbols, not emoji
These characters are part of Unicode text, so they take the colour of the text around them and look calmer than emoji. Some of them, like ♥ and ☀, also have an emoji version; we add an invisible selector that asks the device to show the text version.
Frames such as 【 】 and ꧁ ꧂ are copied as a pair with a space inside: paste them and type your word in the middle.

How do I type symbols on iPhone?
Copy them here, or install a keyboard with a symbols panel. The Fonts & Tags keyboard has symbols, kaomoji and Egyptian hieroglyphs.
Why is a symbol shown as a box?
The device has no font with that character. Egyptian hieroglyphs are the most likely to be missing on older devices.
