Fonts & Tags is provided by Stepanov Dmitrii under the KinApp name ("we", "us"). This policy explains how information is handled by the app, its custom keyboard and the related pages on kinapp.dev. Contact us at support@kinapp.dev.
Your keyboard content and selected photos are processed on your device. The main app also connects to Apple for purchases, Google for advertising and privacy choices, and our website for app information. These services have separate data flows, described below. You do not need to create a Fonts & Tags account.
Keyboard input and saved content
The keyboard uses the text context that iOS makes available around the cursor, and any selected text, to type, format text, delete words and offer corrections. Suggestions use Apple's on-device text-checking tools and supplementary dictionary entries supplied by iOS. Our keyboard code does not upload this input to our servers or to our advertising provider.
Phrases and tag sets you choose to save, their titles and creation dates, keyboard designs, chosen fonts and other preferences are stored on your device. The app and keyboard share the information needed to show your saved content, appearance and Premium status. Full Access allows the keyboard to use this shared app data; it is not permission for us to upload what you type.
To show whether setup is complete, the app checks on your device whether Fonts & Tags is in your list of keyboards, and the keyboard notes in the shared app data when it has opened with Full Access. This check stays on your device and is not sent anywhere.
iOS warns that Full Access can enable shared storage and network access. Our keyboard does not use it to upload your typing. You can turn off Allow Full Access in the system keyboard settings, or remove the keyboard from the list of enabled keyboards.
Photos and text art
The app uses images you select for keyboard backgrounds or Photo to ASCII. Cropping, resizing and conversion take place on your device. A saved keyboard theme may contain a copy of its chosen image and previews. We do not upload your selected photos or generated text art to our servers or to Google advertising services.
When you choose an export action, the app can save a generated image in its Documents folder or your photo library, or pass it to a destination you select in the system share sheet. Copies saved or shared this way are controlled by the destination, including any cloud-sync settings you use there.
You can change the app's photo permissions in system Settings. Revoking permission does not delete copies already saved in themes or exported elsewhere.
Purchases
Apple processes Premium purchases, subscriptions and restoration through the App Store. The app checks Apple's verified transaction information and stores a local record of the product, transaction identifier and current access or expiry status. The keyboard receives the access status it needs to unlock features. We do not receive your payment-card details or Apple Account password. See App Store & Privacy.
Google advertising and privacy choices
The main app uses Google AdMob to display ads and Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to manage advertising privacy choices. Depending on your choices and the service configuration, Google may process IP addresses and approximate location derived from them, device or advertising identifiers, ad views and interactions, app interactions, crash reports, performance information and other diagnostics. These support advertising delivery and measurement, analytics and service operation.
The app requests Apple's tracking permission when applicable, updates the Google consent status and checks whether ad requests are allowed before starting ad requests. Refusing tracking does not necessarily stop all advertising or all data processing needed to deliver permitted ads. See Google's Privacy Policy and how Google uses information from apps that use its services.
When Google requires an ongoing privacy-choice control, you can open Settings → Privacy options inside Fonts & Tags to review or change those choices. You can also change Apple's tracking permission in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. See Apple's explanation of tracking permission.
With an active Premium subscription, Fonts & Tags 3 and later do not start Google's advertising and consent services, do not ask for Apple's tracking permission and do not request ads. If you buy Premium while these services are already running, ads stop and no new ads are requested; the services are not started again on later launches while Premium is active. Earlier versions only hid interstitial ads for Premium subscribers.
Our app information service and website
At startup, the main app may request a promotion for another KinApp app from kinapp.dev. The request includes an identifier for this app and your preferred language or locale; the app does not add your saved content or an individual user identifier to that request. This network request can still occur when no promotion is available or promotions are disabled. If a promotion is returned, the app may download its images and remember its identifier locally to avoid showing it repeatedly.
Like any website, our server receives the technical details of each request, including requests that return no promotion or an error: IP address, date and time, requested address, response status and browser or app type. They are kept in standard web server logs only to operate and protect the website and are not used for advertising or profiling.
This policy page does not load advertising or analytics scripts or externally hosted fonts. Following a link to an app store, social network, support channel or another site takes you to a service with its own privacy practices.
Diagnostics on your device
The app and keyboard keep local technical diagnostics, such as lifecycle events, interface state, storage errors and exception information, to help investigate reliability problems. Some diagnostics use Apple's device logging system. Our app code does not automatically upload these local journals to our servers. This is separate from the diagnostics that Google may process through its advertising services.
Support
If you email us, we receive your email address, the message and any attachments you choose to send. We use this information to respond and handle your request. Opening the in-app email action does not automatically attach your keyboard content, photos or local logs. Please send only information needed for your request.
We keep support conversations so that we can refer back to them, until you ask us to delete them; unsolicited messages and spam are deleted. You can ask us about information associated with a support conversation or request its deletion by emailing support@kinapp.dev. Identify the conversation so we can locate it; please do not send passwords or payment-card details.
Storage, retention and deletion
- App content: saved content and preferences remain in the app's local storage until changed or removed. You can delete saved phrases, tag sets and custom themes in the app. Database recovery files or history may remain locally after a record is removed; deleting a visible record is not a promise of immediate erasure of every underlying copy.
- Local diagnostics: the shared keyboard journal keeps up to 1,000 entries, replacing older entries as new ones arrive. Separate storage-recovery diagnostics can remain in the app's local files. Retention in Apple's device logging system is controlled by the operating system.
- Support email: kept until you ask us to delete the conversation, as described above.
- Web server logs: kept for a limited period, usually about two weeks, and then deleted by rotation.
- Apple and Google: their records and retention are governed by their services and privacy policies. Changing an advertising choice does not necessarily delete data already processed by those services.
- Backups and exports: iOS or iPadOS may include app data in your device backups. This app does not provide its own cloud library sync. Removing the app does not remove images you exported to Photos, files shared elsewhere, recipients' copies or existing backups. Manage those copies through the relevant device, cloud or destination settings. See what iCloud backs up.
To ask about access to, correction of or deletion of information held by us, contact support@kinapp.dev. We cannot retrieve your locally stored phrases or photos from our servers because the app does not send them there. For Apple- or Google-held information, use their privacy controls and request channels.
Children
The content of Fonts & Tags is suitable for all ages. Because the app shows Google ads, it is a general-audience app and is not directed specifically at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact support@kinapp.dev so we can investigate and address the request.
Security and changes
Our website uses HTTPS. No online transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. We may update this policy as the app or its services change, and will publish the revised text and update date on this page.
