Frequently asked questions

What happens to deleted photos?

They go to iOS’s standard Recently Deleted folder for 30 days. You can restore them with one tap within that window. iCleanse doesn’t delete files directly — it moves them to the system trash.

Does it work without internet?

Photo and contact analysis runs on device. Internet may be used for StoreKit, AdServices attribution, iCloud downloads, and Apple place lookup.

What data do you collect?

We don’t upload photos or contacts to iCleanse servers and include no third-party analytics or advertising SDKs. Some features make requests to Apple services; see the Privacy Policy for details.

How do I cancel a subscription?

iPhone Settings → tap your name at the top → Subscriptions → iCleanse → Cancel Subscription. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period.

Could I lose something important?

Review selections carefully. iCleanse doesn’t delete automatically; after you confirm photo or video deletion, items first go to iOS Recently Deleted.

What permissions does the app need?

Photos access — to analyze your library. Contacts / calendar / reminders — only if you use those modules. All permissions are optional and grantable one at a time.
