These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the iCleanse mobile application (the “App”), provided by Stepanov Dmitrii (“Stepanov Dmitrii”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1. The App
iCleanse is an on-device utility for iOS that helps you clean up your iPhone by finding and removing:
- Duplicate and visually similar photos
- Heavy videos and low-quality photos (blurry, over-exposed, oversized)
- Duplicate and outdated contacts
- Old calendar events and completed reminders
- Cached app data and other clutter
All scanning, analysis, and deletion happens locally on your device using the standard iOS Photos, Contacts, EventKit, and Reminders frameworks. The App does not upload your personal content to our servers.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) to use the App. By using the App you represent that you meet this requirement and that you have the legal authority to accept these Terms.
3. License
Subject to these Terms, Stepanov Dmitrii grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use the App on any Apple-branded device that you own or control, in accordance with the Apple Media Services Terms and the Usage Rules in the Apple App Store Terms.
You may not:
- Copy, modify, reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App, except to the extent such restriction is prohibited by applicable law.
- Rent, lease, sublicense, sell, or otherwise transfer the App.
- Remove or alter any proprietary notices.
- Use the App to violate any law or the rights of others.
4. Subscriptions and In-App Purchases
The App offers auto-renewing subscriptions that unlock Premium features (including removing the free-tier limit of 5 photo deletions per day). Plans currently offered include:
- Weekly Premium
- Monthly Premium (with an introductory free trial)
- Annual Premium (with an introductory free trial)
Pricing, duration, and any free-trial period are shown to you at the point of purchase. Prices may vary by country.
Billing. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account upon confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew for the same period at the then-current price unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
Trials. If the plan includes a free trial, you will not be charged during the trial. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription, where applicable.
Managing and cancelling. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions on your Apple device. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you keep Premium access until then.
Refunds. All payments are processed by Apple. Stepanov Dmitrii does not process refunds directly. Refund requests should be made through Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
5. Free Tier
You may use the App for free with a daily limit on photo deletions (currently 5 per day). We may change the limits or features available in the free tier at any time.
6. Destructive Actions — Deletions Are Permanent
The App can permanently delete photos, videos, contacts, calendar events, and reminders from your device and, where applicable, from your iCloud Library. Once those items are removed, they cannot be recovered by Stepanov Dmitrii. Photos deleted through the App follow Apple’s standard “Recently Deleted” flow and may remain there for up to 30 days before permanent removal, unless you empty that album yourself. You are solely responsible for reviewing items before confirming deletion. We strongly recommend keeping a current backup (iCloud or iTunes/Finder) before running any cleanup.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the App to:
- Delete or manipulate data that you do not own or have permission to modify.
- Circumvent, disable, or interfere with security-related features of the App or iOS.
- Attempt to access any system or data that is not intended for you.
8. Intellectual Property
The App, including all software, design, text, graphics, and other content, is owned by Stepanov Dmitrii or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. Except for the limited license in Section 3, no rights are granted to you.
9. Third-Party Services
The App is distributed through the Apple App Store and uses Apple’s StoreKit for purchases. Your use of the Apple App Store and StoreKit is subject to Apple’s own terms. Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
The App does not integrate third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. ZIMMA DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT THE RESULTS OBTAINED FROM ITS USE (INCLUDING DETECTION OF DUPLICATES OR “LOW-QUALITY” ITEMS) WILL BE ACCURATE OR COMPLETE.
11. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, ZIMMA INC AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE APP. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATED TO THE APP WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US (VIA APPLE) FOR THE APP IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR USD 20, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitations on liability, so some of the above may not apply to you.
12. Changes to the App
We may add, modify, or remove features of the App at any time. We may also suspend or discontinue the App in whole or in part.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will be announced in the App or on our website where reasonably possible. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
14. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it from your device. We may suspend or terminate your access to the App if you materially violate these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 8, 10, 11, and 15) will survive.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Stepanov Dmitrii is established, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. If you are a consumer in the European Union, United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with mandatory consumer-protection laws, you retain the benefit of those laws.
