Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 21, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Stepanov Dmitrii (“Stepanov Dmitrii”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) handles information in connection with the iCleanse mobile application (the “App”).

The short version: iCleanse is built to run entirely on your device. We do not collect, upload, sell, or share your photos, videos, contacts, calendar events, or reminders. There are no analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs embedded in the App.

1. Information We Do Not Collect

The App does not collect, transmit, or store on our servers any of the following:

  • Your photos, videos, or their thumbnails, metadata, or EXIF data.
  • Your contacts, calendar events, or reminders.
  • Any iCloud content.
  • Device identifiers for advertising (IDFA) or tracking.
  • Precise or approximate location.
  • Usage analytics, crash reports, or behavioral events.

iCleanse does not include any third-party analytics, advertising, or attribution SDKs (no Firebase, no Mixpanel, no AppsFlyer, no Adjust, no Sentry, no RevenueCat, etc.).

2. How the App Works — On-Device Processing

To find duplicates, similar photos, blurry images, heavy videos, stale contacts, and old calendar items, the App reads your data directly on your device using Apple’s standard frameworks:

  • Photos / videos — via the iOS Photos framework (PHPhotoLibrary, PHAsset, PHImageManager).
  • Contacts — via the Contacts framework (CNContactStore).
  • Calendar and Reminders — via the EventKit framework (EKEventStore).
  • iCloud Photos — the App reads whether an asset is already synced to iCloud, using the standard Photos APIs. It does not upload anything to iCloud on its own.

All analysis — similarity detection, quality scoring, duplicate grouping — runs locally on your iPhone. Nothing is sent to Stepanov Dmitrii or any third party.

3. Permissions You May Grant

Before the App can read any category of data, iOS asks for your explicit permission. You can grant, change, or revoke any of these permissions at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security, or in Settings → iCleanse.

PermissionWhy the App asks
Photos (Read & Write)To scan your library for duplicates, similar photos, low-quality images, and heavy videos, and to delete items you confirm.
ContactsTo find duplicate or incomplete contacts and delete those you confirm.
Calendar (Full Access)To find old or empty events and delete those you confirm.
Reminders (Full Access)To find completed or stale reminders and delete those you confirm.

If you deny a permission, the related feature simply won’t work — the App will still function for the remaining categories.

4. Deletions

When you confirm deletion of photos or videos, they are sent to your iOS “Recently Deleted” album for up to 30 days, per Apple’s standard behavior, before being permanently removed. Contacts, calendar events, and reminders are removed immediately through iOS, but may resync from iCloud if you have cloud sync enabled. Stepanov Dmitrii never receives a copy of any deleted content.

5. Purchases and Subscriptions

The App offers optional auto-renewing subscriptions (weekly, monthly, annual) through Apple’s StoreKit. When you purchase or restore a subscription:

  • Your payment is processed by Apple, not by Stepanov Dmitrii. We never see your payment card details.
  • The App receives from Apple a receipt and the purchase status (e.g., “active”, “expired”, “trial”) needed to unlock Premium features on your device.
  • Apple may share limited transaction data with us (for example, aggregated or anonymized sales reports via App Store Connect). Apple’s use of your data is governed by the Apple Privacy Policy.

We do not maintain our own user accounts, passwords, or billing profiles for the App.

6. Diagnostics

If you choose to “Share iPhone Analytics with App Developers” in iOS Settings, Apple may send us anonymized crash reports and performance data collected at the operating-system level. We use that information only to fix bugs and improve stability. You can turn this off at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements.

7. Children’s Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has used the App, note that no personal data is sent to us from the device in the normal course of use.

8. Data Retention

Because we do not collect your personal content, there is nothing for us to retain on our servers. Any data the App processes stays on your device under iOS’s standard storage and is deleted when you delete the App, unless your own iCloud backup retains it independently.

9. International Users

The App works the same way in every country: on-device. Because we do not collect personal data, no international data transfer of your content occurs through the App. Apple’s handling of your App Store purchase is governed by Apple.

10. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as the GDPR (EU/UK), CCPA/CPRA (California), LGPD (Brazil), or similar — for example, the right to access, correct, delete, port, or restrict processing of your personal data, or to object to it.

Because iCleanse does not collect or store your personal data on our servers, most of these rights are already satisfied by default: the content never leaves your device, and deleting the App removes it entirely. If you have a specific request — including about any limited information Apple may share with us in connection with your purchase — contact us at the address below.

11. Security

On-device data is protected by iOS’s built-in security model (app sandboxing, file protection, Secure Enclave for device credentials). We rely on Apple’s platform security for all content the App reads. Because we do not operate servers that store your content, there is no Stepanov Dmitrii-hosted database of your personal data to breach.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date above. If changes are material, we will make a reasonable effort to notify you in the App or on our website. Continued use of the App after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
